Simplicity in design is a broad term that generally means having fewer objects. Less possession's that clutter a space, taking away from the beauty of the design. But this doesn't mean a home needs to feel empty and cold.
A simple home can be freeing and full of atmosphere in space. This is a key part of this project, and a key principle that we should all regularly practice in our homes, and, therefore, lives.
When a home is made simple, it's the finer moments of life that can be enjoyed.
Simplicity is found throughout the home. To relax the mind from the complex outside world, a simple, decluttered space has been designed inside the home.
This involves minimising the number of walls while maximising the atmosphere of the home in;
Together, this creates a homely space that is enjoyable to spend time in.
Simple kitchen design that is open and freeing.
The kitchen is a very simple, clean, and functional space, which is made unique through with the atmosphere of the space. Light from the skylight gives a freeing atmosphere.
The mezzanine space acts to create moments of hygge: creating a warm atmosphere and enjoying the good things in life with good people. This breaks up the home from the open space below. The mezzanine also maximises space within the home.

The openness of this home can be seen from the top of the mezzanine, looking right to the far end of the home. The lack of walls is a unique experience that makes the home feel free and open.
