Tips & tricks

Here's the general process:

1. Choose a 'dead zone' that you want to rejuvenate with landscape design
2. Spend time in the space making a site plan (this is a 2D drawing of the features in the area, such as existing buildings and gardens, as well as how the site is influenced by sunlight, wind, rain, etc.
3. Get an understanding of the landscape and garden design principles
4. Do some research into what your wanting create, investigating existing designs and their materials/plant choices, as well as what considerations you will need to make
5. Design for the space on your site plan, with considerations in mind. Multiple concepts may be necessary.
6. Line draw and then render the ideas that are worth pursuing
7. 3-Dimensionalise your ideas by perspectively drawing out your design plan. You can take photos of the site and then 1-point draw over the image by increasing the brightness and reducing the contrast of the photo. Once drawn out, you can then finalise your ideas again by rendering them
