This workshop is for anyone interested in how to design a project in Animation and Motion Graphics and connecting with other professionals in these specialist areas. • Investigate current trends in tertiary and industry to locate an appropriate context to frame the project (such as the significance of narrative)
  • Step through a design process to develop a project
  • Unpack the guiding assessment structures (NZC Technology/ Visual Art etc.) to select the most appropriate forms of assessment and the nature of the evidence required for that framework
  • Plan and develop support materials for students (such as the guiding brief, skills tutorials, course information, assessment schedules)
  • Plan any appropriate trips and/ or guest speakers and workshops
  • Time frame: Thursday 18th - Saturday 20th January 2018

We will:

  • Unpack the project as it stands (how was it developed and by whom)
  • Introduce and discuss the gist (how it may be taught VS how it may be undertaken)
  • Run through the project through the lens of the design student (using the appropriate software and tools)
  • Review of support and assessment materials
  • Modify any support materials to ensure relevance to own practice
  • Time frame: Late January 2018 - TBC
  • Cost: TBC
